Membership Terms of Use

There is no fee to become a CARBONISTE member. You may join now and you will not be charged until wine is shipped to you.

​Prix Fixe members will automatically receive the most recent shipment–supply permitting– up until 4 weeks before the next shipment’s release. If you sign up within 4 weeks of a scheduled ship date, new members will have the option of receiving both shipments or just the pending one. Wine is a natural product and we want to ensure you get the highest quality available to you. Because of this, shipment dates are affected by the wine’s readiness and may vary slightly from year to year. In a typical year, annual releases will occur in April, July and October, with an optional (opt-out) resupply shipment December (holiday).

The Yacht Club Subscription members will receive shipment immediately, and will continue at the intervals as outlined in your subscription.

The credit card on your membership account is charged one to two weeks before the shipment is sent. The charge will be advertised pricing in our “CLUB” description for your shipment, plus any applicable tax and shipping charges. Advertised pricing subject to change based on actual wines in each shipment.

Charges may vary with each shipment depending on wine supply.

The winery will often hold pickup events and during this time frame to encourage members to attend to pick up wines. We cannot hold wines past the scheduled ship date though we will do our best to accommodate extraordinary circumstances. Please contact us no later than 2 weeks in advance if you foresee an issue with a ship date.

You must be 21 years or older to order and receive shipments. An adult signature is required upon delivery. We strongly recommend delivery of wine shipments to a business, rather than a home addresses. Because of the adult signature requirement, we cannot deliver to a PO Box address.

Our membership makes a great gift. We will send all shipments and membership materials to your gift recipient and your credit card will be charged for the shipments shortly before they are sent. Your gift recipient receives all of the benefits that come with being a member. You may choose the length of membership when you enroll them, or enroll them indefinitely and simply notify us in writing when you are ready for the membership to end.

Our membership is a perpetual membership until canceled. You may cancel at any time in writing to info@carboniste.com.

Customers who cancel their club membership prior to receiving at least two club shipments will be responsible for reimbursing CARBONISTE for discounts received against orders placed as members.

 If a member shipment has been shipped but not received prior to our receipt of your written cancellation, you will be responsible to pay for that final shipment. Members may suspend shipments. Please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

All cancellations and address changes must be received in writing. All cancellations and changes must be received at least two weeks prior to the scheduled ship date in order to be applied to the upcoming shipment. We do not require credit card changes in writing. Important: you may be responsible for shipping charges and/or restocking fees if you neglect to contact us at least two weeks prior to the scheduled ship date.

Free Shipment applies to all club and subscription orders $100+ and can be sent throughout the continental United States. Free Shipping does not apply to Alaska or Hawaii. If shipment is returned, customer is liable for any additional restocking and/or reshipping fees incurred to ship the package a second time.

Club discounts do not apply to CARBO-Nation bottles.

 

​By signing up for a club or subscription membership, you are agreeing to the following:

I am 21 years or older. As a member, I will receive shipments from CARBONISTE throughout the year. I agree that CARBONISTE will charge my credit card for each shipment. My credit card will also be billed shipping and handling, which may be charged by CARBONISTE or by an outside shipper acting as my agent. I agree that I have read and understand the CARBONISTE privacy policy.

It is my obligation to notify CARBONISTE in writing of any address changes before packages are shipped. CARBONISTE will not be responsible for shipping charges incurred due to misdirected packages.

I may cancel my membership by doing so in writing at any time without further obligation except for wines shipped prior to CARBONISTE’s receipt of my cancellation.

Membership is ongoing, but may be cancelled after receipt of your second shipment. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@carboniste.com Please remember that it is your obligation to notify CARBONISTE of any address changes before wines are shipped, as CARBONISTE is not responsible for shipping charges incurred due to misdirected shipments.

Shipments made within certain states are subject to state sales tax. Void where prohibited by law.

WARNING: Drinking distilled spirits, beer, wine and other alcoholic beverages may increase cancer risk and cause birth defects if consumed during pregnancy.

Member Agreement

 

 Temperature Holds

​Wine is a perishable product. For this reason our shipping policy dictates that we do not ship wine during periods of extreme high or low temperatures, or when we feel there is a high risk of spoilage.

Shipping wine over a weekend can also expose it to unnecessary spoilage risk. For this reason, we make every effort to ship wine club and any other ground shipments only on Mondays. We will ship 2-day air shipments as late as Tuesday, and next day air shipments as late as Wednesday.

You may choose to override our shipping policy, but we will not accept returns for spoiled wine that was not shipped according to our shipping policy.

Your credit card will be charged at the time of fulfillment, which happens before a weather hold decision is made. In some case-specific instances we may be able to reroute a shipment after it has been placed on weather hold (change to 2-day or overnight delivery, or hold for pickup), barring logistical constraints.

During the hottest and coldest times of the year, we may not ship at all to certain locations, OR at our discretion may elect to ship via 2nd day delivery—at no additional cost to you—to areas most affected by heat or cold.

 While we make every effort to ensure your wine arrives in the same pristine condition, as when it left the winery, we cannot control what happens to your shipment in transit. If you feel you have received a damaged bottle, please contact us immediately.

We respect your privacy and support all efforts to protect it. We will never re-sell or distribute your personal information to any other entity for any reason whatsoever. This includes your e-mail address, as well as your mailing address and phone numbers. 

When you place an order with us, we request your name, billing address, shipping address, credit card number, expiration date, security code, and email address. We consider this information to be absolutely private, and we keep this information secured internally from outside parties. All credit card numbers are encrypted and inaccessible to us or our staff.

The information we collect is only used for the limited purposes of processing your orders, updating our site, and notifying you of upcoming wine releases and events. We do not share your private information, ever.
